Service Description

Students will be taught the qualification standards for ASME Section IX of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) for welding, brazing, and fusing procedures, and welding, brazing, and fusing operators. The class will detail ASME Section IX's requirements for the following: Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) Welders, Welding Operators, Brazers Performance Qualification (WPQ). Students will then undergo a hands-on clinic to learn how to properly qualify and write a PQR, properly write a WPS, and to properly qualify a welder/welding operator/brazer and write their WPQ. The hands-on portion will involve the instructor giving the written scenarios in which a PQR, WPS and WPQ must be qualified and written in accordance with the essential and nonessential variables and other requirements of ASME Section IX. Students who complete the 80-hour class will receive a QWC Services Certification for PQR, WPS, and WPQ qualifications and writing. ** Pricing Starts at $13,200 per person.
